Learn MoreStraighten Your Smile
Orthodontic problems can impact kids, teens and adults — in fact, it’s rare that anyone’s born with perfect teeth. Malocclusion, or a “bad bite”, can cause problems with chewing, oral hygiene, speaking — not to mention looks.
A bad bite can be genetic or can be caused by thumb sucking, dental disease, poor dental hygiene, accidents, birth defects or other medical conditions.
Dr. James Hull, Dr. Turner Hull, and Dr. Grant Coleman pair cutting-edge tech with the skill of moving teeth. This helps Hull & Coleman Orthodontics successfully treat many dental issues, like:
- Gaps between your teeth
- Crowded teeth
- Overbite
- Underbite
- Crossbite
- Protruding teeth
- Impacted teeth
Fixed Appliances Vs. Removable Appliances
At Hull & Coleman Orthodontics, we believe you should be fully educated when it comes to your treatment. The first step to correcting an orthodontic problem is learning about it.
It’s helpful for patients around Arboretum or Wesley Chapel, to understand the difference between fixed and removable appliances. Dr. Hull or Dr. Coleman attaches fixed appliances, like braces, to your teeth and won’t take them off until you complete your treatment at Hull & Coleman Orthodontics.
When Dr. Hull or Dr. Coleman prescribes a removable appliance like clear aligners , you’ll wear them most of the day, but you can take the trays out of your mouth for brushing or mealtime.
Besides the obvious differences, Hull & Coleman Orthodontics uses clear aligners to treat mild to moderate orthodontic problems. Dr. Hull or Dr. Coleman generally uses fixed appliances for comprehensive and serious treatment.
Metal Braces & Other Options
Most patients we treat at Hull & Coleman Orthodontics choose traditional metal braces to straighten their teeth.
Metal braces are the most common type of orthodontic treatment in Arboretum or Wesley Chapel, but you have other options, too.
After your first free consultation exam, Dr. Hull or Dr. Coleman will talk to you about which treatment would be right for you based on your unique needs and smile goals.
