James C. Hull, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Jim Hull has been a practicing orthodontist in Charlotte for over 25 years. He is very proud to be carrying on the Charlotte tradition of his father’s practice, begun in 1950, with many staff members who have been with him over 20 years.
Dr. Hull received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and his Master of Orthodontics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Hull is a member of American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists and the Charlotte Dental Society. He is board certified by the National Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Hull was born and raised in Charlotte. His wife is Ginny, and he has three sons, Carter, Turner, and Jordan, and a daughter, Jessie. In his spare time, Dr. Hull enjoys hiking, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Grant G. Coleman, D.M.D., M.S.
Dr. Grant Coleman has been in private practice since 2003. Dr. Coleman grew up in the small town of Elba, Alabama, and married his wife, Katie, in 2001. They have two sons, Thomas and James, and one daughter, Caroline.
Dr. Coleman received a degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and completed his orthodontic residency at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics. He received the Earl E. & Wilma S. Shepard Award for receiving the highest score in the nation on the American Board of Orthodontics written exam.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, Charlotte Dental Society, North Carolina Dental Society, and the Southern Association of Orthodontists. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Coleman is an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, hunting, fishing, snow skiing, traveling and cooking.
J. Turner Hull, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Turner Hull represents the third generation of orthodontists in the practice started by his grandfather, Dr. P.C. Hull, in 1950.
A native of Charlotte, Dr. Hull graduated from Charlotte Latin and then completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was awarded membership in the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
Dr. Hull then attended the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors. He remained in Chapel Hill to receive his master’s degree in orthodontics. While in residency, Dr. Hull’s research focused on the non-surgical treatment of anterior open bites, the findings of which he was invited to present at the annual meeting of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Hull is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Charlotte Dental Society.
Dr. Hull is an avid fan of UNC football and basketball. In addition, he enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
